HydroLess- Zero-Water Usage & Odorless Urinals using Chemical Sealant & Valve System, with SLB India
HydroLess started after I came across an innovative technology designed to conserve water. I realized how much water was wasted through traditional urinals, especially ones with an automatic flush sensor, and knew this was a solution I could implement to make a real difference. I researched more about the technology of waterless urinals and learned about the various chemical sealants, such as aliphatic alcohols, we can use to eliminate odor and reduce water usage to zero. I was inspired to take action. I successfully installed 150 HydroLess Units across offices and rigs in Haryana and Rajasthan in India, impacting over 5,000 people and saving around 4.4 million liters of water annually. This project was funded utilizing CSR funds from SLB India.
After this success, I presented the idea to my school’s Board of Directors (AES), showcasing successful case studies from HydroLess installations in two states; These examples built credibility and strengthened my proposal, resulting in the award of a 100k INR grant to implement the units at AES, making an impact and spreading awareness within my immediate community.
